velvet night

In a black sapphire night under velvet wings,
A serpent devours the moons being,
Our hearts beat in sink under the nights tomb,
we watch as the skies essence blooms.

Waves form and dance across thick black,
Your eyes gaze into mine i stare right back,
A star burns with fire capturing your sight,
I pull you close once again to hold you tight.

Your touch once more hypnotizing my soul,
Now my heart no longer stone cold,
This is our night belongs to us alone,
all the stars and shadows we own.

The air soft whispering through the trees,
My heart yours and yours belongs to me,
Velvet night holding such sights,
serpent devouring the only light.

starry heavens burning with such desire,
setting all cold hearts on fire,
velvet night with ocean clouds,
Promised to us an undying vow.

Velvet night revealing a full moon,
Here for all eternity shall be our tomb,
echoes of the spirits all around,
Here we lay side by side never again to be found.
